Energy savings using Pinch Technology
Pinch technology is a systematic method to optimize the recovery of the available heat within and between industrial processes.

PDC's approach
Since 1991, Process Design Center (formerly Keuken & de Koning) uses pinch technology in energy savings projects. Projects are usually executed in two phases. The first phase is a short feasibility study in which the theoretical savings potentials (targets) are determined. Based on these results, more detailed analysis can be performed to determine and evaluate individual saving options at certain levels. Project effectiveness is improved by not working in areas where no feasible savings are expected.
The project is usually carried out in close cooperation with our clients. Their experience and knowledge of processes is an important ingredient for the analysis of data and evaluation of possible energy savings projects.
