Refinery

Due to the large capital investments and huge production volumes, refineries reduce their risks by allowing only small changes in their production technologies. New developments, however, force the refinery business to critically review its manufacturing processes. Examples of such developments are new regulations, e.g. sulfur - and aromatics levels, and new products such as bio-fuel and synthetic fuel.
